Mumia Abu Jamal

1997 film - Justice Denied

Mumia abu Jamal was a 15-year-old 'writer' for the Black Panther's journal in the mid-late '60s. Twenty years later in Philadelphia he was blamed for the murder of a Police officer on dubious grounds to say the least and commit- ted to Death Row. Mumia continues to be a vocal voice for his people although still in prison. Justice Denied is the documentary that pretty much tells the whole story.
