But the Hellenic take on Democracy was a fake one as well (again like the British form of Democracy): you voted to be ruled by your betters if you owned plenty of PROPERTY and SLAVES! As our polite WASP hoy-paloy classes might put it: "MUSIC MAESTRO PLEASE?" White Anglo-Saxons, both in the USA and UK, were virtually DEAF as well as DUMB when it came to Black American music until the mid-1950s.Whereas in France, during the very Nazi occupation of all of Europe during WW2, the BEST New Orleans Jazz music was played for an hour daily just after the Midday news bulletin on their national radio station. Then, out of the blue, from those well-know white-racist South- ern States in America, appeared Elvis Presley. It was precisely 1956 on national radio stations out of NYC! Talk about white-trash (the King?) bastardizing American Black 'rhythm and blues' sounds! He was the embodiment of the worst RAPE of an authentic indigenous people's music in the entire HISTORY of world music. A gross parody and blasphemy of the music blacks were playing - having to overcome their black slavery grief and weary souls. As the French might put it: "Let them eat cake!" Unfortunately it took less than a decade before Elvis's SHAKE- RATTLE-&-ROLL grinds and grunts hit the streets of England's equivalent white-trash shores: Liverpool. There a young Jewish music shop keeper, Brian Epstein, and a naturally gifted white working-class hero-poet, John Lennon, together shook the entire nature of POP-
CYCLE MUSIC! Better Believe! Then came the Rolling Stones and later ersatz 'country' music (ripped off by Bobby Dylan from Woody Guthrie) hit the boards, there was no turning back

When these new 'sounds' exploded and began being heard from the mother country of the English language (UK), all the way back to the rebelling white dropout youth across the Atlantic, the music industry went wild. By the early 1960s there was no way back to simple-Simon Elvis! The Brits could actually WRITE their own lyrics and tunes. The cork in the bottle of ersatz American Black music had POPPED! Jazz was summarily relegated (on 52nd Street in New York City) towards a white-man's connoisseurs musical taste, while the remaining white youth attended massive outdoor concerts - especially in California! The documentary Hotel California, about the 'demise' of the Pop Music industry, could only be produced by the English - who should be given 'credit' for helping to create it in the first instance. But as the UK is brilliant when making documentaries about controversial subjects such as this, they really bring off an edifying take on how and where pop-music went down the DRAINS owned by Hollywood Boulevard movie moguls!
